With speculation heating up about South Sydney coach Anthony Seibold replacing Wayne Bennett as the Brisbane Broncos coach, Greg Inglis has urged his coach to take the job if offered.

Speaking on Nine News, the Rabbitohs captain said he understood the lure of a move up North should it come Seibold's way.

"If something did come across his way from the Broncos, why wouldn't you have a look?" Inglis said.

"It's interesting to him and he is a Queenslander and he does come from the Broncos system."

"I'm enjoying what I'm doing here at South Sydney," Inglis said.

"I love the place and I definitely will end up retiring here in South Sydney."

The 43-year-old Seibold has become a hot commodity on the coaching market following a wildly successful debut season as the coach of the Rabbitohs.

While Seibold has a contract extension on the table from the Rabbitohs, he has insisted that he will not get involved in contract negotiations until the end of the season.

The Broncos are expected to replace Bennett next season, with Queensland coach Kevin Walters also in running for the top job in Brisbane.

Seibold's Rabbitohs have a potential Grand Final replay this week as they take on Craig Bellamy and the Melbourne Storm.
