Leading motorsport website autosport.com says paddock speculation at last week’s Townsville race revolved around the possibility of a complete overhaul of the schedule, which this year runs from March through until November.

The current schedule means much of the season clashes with the NRL and AFL.

A new TV deal is due to be negotiated for the 2021 season, with the possibility of more twilight races if the series runs through summer.
