Meanwhile, St George Illawarra’s Tariq Sims has won the chance to make his NSW Blues debut as Vaughan’s replacement on the bench.

Gold Coast’s Ryan James has been named as the 18th man, while Luke Keary of the Sydney Roosters and Matt Prior of the Cronulla Sharks have both been brought into the camp as development players.

The Blues have already won the series thanks to an 18-14 victory in Game 2 at Allianz Stadium, but will hoping to really drive their dominance home with a 3-0 sweep.

Injuries in the Queensland camp could help them significantly as they look to achieve that goal, as the Maroons will be missing both Greg Inglis and Kalyn Ponga.

Comment: The Blues will win the series tonight

Comment: The Blues will win the series tonight The only thing stopping the New South Wales Blues from destroying the Queensland Maroons tonight is belief. If the Blues believe they are the better side – and they are – then they will put a margin on the Maroons.Game I in Melbourne at the MCG showed that NSW are not only the superior side, but are the only side heading in the right direction.Dare I say it, but the Blues should complete a State of Origin clean sweep this year. The last time it happened, Sydney hadn’t hosted the Olympic Games yet.On paper, NSW is better on every line.
