"Someone told me the other day you should see Michelle Payne and how fat she's got...it's disgusting," the 32-year-old recalled. "But look at you; you don't even look that bad..." Lol -- would you say this is acceptable to say to someone?

She posted the comment along with a laughing as well as a shrugging emoji, later saying she didn't really care about the comment and was "just fascinated how anyone could think that's a good thing to say."

Entertainment reporter Angela Bishop suggested Payne ask them "just out of interest, how many Melbourne cups they have won."

And comedian Magda Szubanski said, "Speaking as a person who has managed to be fat and have a great life...who effing cares WHAT size you are?!! You're happy healthy and gorgeous. So, to use your own words -- they can get stuffed!!"

Payne responded to Szubanski's comment, saying, "I did laugh and I didn't care too much but the disgusting part was that part that got to me a bit. End of the day, I'm embracing my curves, lol!"

Overwhelmed by the support she received following the post, Payne also pointed out that comments like those made to her can "tip people over the edge".

"I'm not that sensitive but I am a bit upset about the 'disgusting' part I have to say lol."
