Having played over 100 first grade games in the NRL, Vidot is set for a new career after admitting he lost his passion for rugby league before signing a contract with the WWE.

“I idolised the Rock and what he’s done, and also the Usos,” Vidot said.

“I lost my mojo in rugby league… I still love rugby but I would now would rather watch on the sidelines.

“I felt rugby started to become more of a job, and not something I had a passion and drive for.”

In 2015, an unexpected tryout for the WWE came up. Vidot, who was playing for the Brisbane Broncos, jetted straight to Orlando and never looked back.

“I was very confident, ever since 2015 it was always in my mind,’ Vidot said.

“Giving up the boots, I had no choice, I had to make it.”

“I was very in to wrestling in my younger days, I was always watching it with my brothers growing up.”

“I wanted to get into acting in high school… Performing in front of cameras and adding special abilities like athletic abilities, which is why wrestling is the most ideal profession I could look for.”

Vidot also made it very clear that he’s going all the way, and has his eyes set on WWE’s biggest prize.

“My goal is to one day be WWE champ, it would be a dream come true,” Vidot said.

With the WWE closely watching rugby players, Vidot wants to be a trailblazer who can inspire the youth and current athletes playing in the NRL today.

“I definitely would love to be an example for the youth of Australia and also the young Samoans who reside in Australia,” Vidot said.

“I want to be an example for some rugby players who have some interest… I want to start a journey that very minimal people have travelled.

“I’ve had a couple of my boys from the Samoan team hit me up, asking me If they can have a crack sometime.”

Vidot also had some sagely advice for any players wishing to follow in his footsteps and applying for a WWE tryout online.

“Be confident, if you come in to a trial, the biggest thing they look for is if you’re approachable,” Vidot said.
