Of particular note during the past two weeks have been the performances of Burgess’ younger brothers, twins Tom and George, who have really stepped up to lead the pack in the absence of their older sibling, and Burgess expressed his desire to get back on the field.

"It's tough obviously watching from the sidelines but I'm proud of the team and their efforts in the two games," he said.

Burgess will face the Canberra Raiders on his return and was wary of the side that is coming off two consecutive wins.

"We'll have to be good. They've obviously got some big boys through the middle and their halves have been taking the line on," Burgess said.

"It'll be a good challenge for us up there in Central Coast."
