He is connecting at 45.7 per cent, ahead of Golden State's Klay Thompson and Cleveland's George Hill (both 45.5 per cent), Detroit's Reggie Bullock (45.3 per cent) and Sacramento's Buddy Hield (43.5 per cent).

Joe Ingles is showing he is worth every cent of his $US52-million ($A66-million) contract with the Utah Jazz.

The 30-year-old from Adelaide leads the NBA in three-point shooting and has been phenomenal in the Jazz's 10-game winning streak.

In the 10 wins he has shot 57 per cent from both the field and beyond the three-point line, but it has not been enough for the NBA to include him in this weekend's All-Star three-point shooting contest in Los Angeles.

"If it's there, I'm going to shoot it," Ingles, describing his attitude on the court, told reporters after sinking four of six three-point attempts in a dramatic comeback win against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.

The Jazz were down 13 points in the fourth quarter before beating the Spurs 101-99 in Salt Lake City, with Ingles having his third-straight game scoring at least 20 points.

Ingles also had seven rebounds and five assists.

The Australian also fills the role of chief agitator on the Jazz.

In the third quarter as the Jazz appeared rudderless and the home crowd was silent, Ingles began a physical and verbal tussle with Spurs' veteran Pau Gasol that fired up his team and the arena.

This weekend's All-Star game and events are supposed to reward NBA players but Australian rookie sensation Ben Simmons and Ingles have suffered snubs.

Ingles' hot shooting streak has him on top of the NBA's three-point percentage rankings.

He is connecting at 45.7 per cent, ahead of Golden State's Klay Thompson and Cleveland's George Hill (both 45.5 per cent), Detroit's Reggie Bullock (45.3 per cent) and Sacramento's Buddy Hield (43.5 per cent).

Thompson, Eric Gordon (Houston), Bradley Beal (Washington), Paul George (Oklahoma City), Kyle Lowry (Toronto), Devin Booker (Phoenix), Wayne Ellington (Miami) and Tobias Harris (LA Clippers) are in the All-Star three-point contest.

The win streak still leaves the Jazz with plenty of work to do to make the playoffs.

They sit in 10th place in the crowded Western Conference standings with 29 wins and 28 losses.

The Jazz's hot form comes despite plenty obstacles, including the departure of their All-Star Gordon Hayward in the off-season and last week's trade that sent shooting guard Rodney Hood to Cleveland and forward Joe Johnson to Sacramento.

Ingles signed the four-year $US52-million deal with the Jazz in the off-season.
