  Hayabusa2 Spacecraft Captures First Close-Up Image Of Ryugu Asteroid Yesterday, Japan’s Hayabusa2 spacecraft came tantalisingly close to Ryugu, offering an unprecedented view of the asteroid’s boulder-strewn surface. Two weeks ago, Hayabusa2 came to within 6km of Ryugu, but yesterday's descent, the third of the mission, saw Hayabusa2 come to within 851m of the asteroid, making it the closest encounter to date. Mission planners are preparing for a procedure that will see Hayabusa2 collect samples of rock and dust from Ryugu’s surface. Yesterday's descent was done to measure the weak gravitational pull exerted by the kilometre-wide asteroid.

Rosie Boulton, 19, said she has seen ghostly orbs before, but nothing like the image she spotted after a late night exploring Tintern Abbey.

Boulton travels to “haunted” locations to snap photos each week, and this time, she may have gotten what she was looking for.

The teen captured what she believes was the ghost of a monk. She spotted it while going through photos after the visit.

Tintern Abbey was founded by the Cistercian monks in the year 1131.

The Black Death of the 1340s claimed the lives of many monks, and some claim to have seen their spirits within the halls of the abbey, lined up and holding torches.

“We felt like someone was coming towards us so we all ran out as we were scared,” she said.

She still plans to visit more ghostly places in the future despite the frightening experience.
