At Casino Hotels, Welcome for Guests Makes Security Difficult

At Casino Hotels, Welcome for Guests Makes Security Difficult Though places like the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas bar weapons, they strive to be as open as possible, and do not routinely ask guests what is in their luggage.LAS VEGAS — When Stephen Paddock pulled his car up to the wide circular driveway at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, a half-dozen bellboys and valets were likely to be there to help. When he walked past the two giant stone lions and through the glass doors into the lobby, greeters would probably have ushered him the roughly 50 steps to the wooden doors with frosted glass where high rollers check into the hotel.

The optical illusion stops people from running in the hallway . Even more mind - boggling , the optical illusion only works from one perspective.

3 burning questions after Google’s Pixel 2 event

3 burning questions after Google’s Pixel 2 event Another Google event has come and gone. While we drool over hardware and dream about AI, I’m left with a few questions. And the longer I think about it, the more elusive the answers become. In no particular order, here’s what’s boggling my mind. Why would anyone, in 2017, make a flagship phone a Verizon exclusive? It’s clear Google learned nothing from Apple. Well, I mean, aside from how to poke fun at the company one year for removing the headphone jack, only to do the same thing on its flagship device a year later. When Apple first launched the iPhone, you may remember, the device was an AT&T exclusive.

We first spotted Casa Ceramica's design on Reddit, in a now-viral post by user 9999monkeys. It's installed in the entrance to one of the company's showrooms in Manchester, UK.

The floor — which is made of 400 individual porcelain tiles — looks like it has a giant dent in the middle, but it's actually completely level.

Even more mind-boggling, the optical illusion only works when you face the showroom's entrance. The "dent" in the floor disappears when you look at it from the opposite perspective.

"The inspiration was to create an entrance themed on illusions and [exceed] expectations of how tiles can be used," a representative of Casa Ceramica told INSIDER in an email.

The company also commissioned local artist Myro Doodles to illustrate free-hand quotes on the walls of the entranceway from films like "Alice in Wonderland" and Tony Walsh's inspirational poem, "This is The Place," in memory of the victims of the Manchester attack in May.

See how the optical illusion was made in the video below.

The optical illusion that is Tiffany Trump’s endless legs .
Tiffany Trump celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday the 13th of October. In true Friday the 13th style Tiffany shared a photo that has left a lot of people freaked out, basically it looks like there is some kind of witchcraft happening. In the highly edited photo, Tiffany Trump's legs appear to be unnervingly, unnaturally long. While some have claimed that Tiffany photoshopped the effect, others are claiming it's simply a case of the right angles.
