While auction clearance rates across Australia's capital cities have slowed down to a six-year low of 55.3 percent, affluent areas of Sydney are continuing to hold up with the city's inner-west, which includes Enmore, delivering a 71.4 percent clearance rate.

Core Logic real estate analyst Cameron Kusher said the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority's crackdown on investor loans was having more of an effect on smaller, inner-city terraces than larger mansions.

'They tend not to buy obviously big houses,' he told Daily Mail Australia today.

'They buy a lot of inner-city cottages and that kind of thing.'
