Jacobson's long-time manager and publicist Deb Fryers filed a writ filed last month in the Victorian County Court claiming she had not been paid commission for his work in Little Big Shots, The Real Full Monty and The Rocky Horror Show.

The pair worked together for more than a decade, which covered Jacobson's rise from star of local cult film Kenny to prime-time commercial TV host, until they parted ways in February.

Court documents reveal the pair had a handshake agreement rather than a contract, with their financial arrangement "partly oral and partly to be implied".

However, Jacobson accused his former manager of "abandoning" him in the week of his wedding and insists she has been paid what she is owed.

Court documents lodged by Ms. Fryers' lawyers outline Jacobson's income for various appearances this year, including $215,000 for hosting Seven Network talent show Little Big Shots.

The documents also show he earned $54,000 for stripping off on Seven's The Real Full Monty; $180,000 for his role as the narrator in The Rocky Horror Show; and $200,000 to appear in ads for supermarket chain IGA.

According to her statement of claim, Ms. Fryers is suing Jacobson and his company Ocean View Entertainment for commission on jobs she helped set up but that began after she had quit.

Jacobson will bank at least $908,614 for his work in 2018 and 2019, a table attached to the court documents shows, with Ms. Fryers claiming her cut should be $136,892.

She is also seeking a percentage of fees that are yet to be confirmed — including $24,000 for a role on ABC TV's Jack Irish and up to $400,000 for the IGA campaign.

Ms. Fryers is also claiming a cut of $50,000 that Jacobson is set to earn for the recently released movie Brothers' Nest, in which he stars in alongside his brother Clayton. Ms. Fryers is listed as an executive producer on the film.

Ms. Fryers is seeking a 15 or 20 percent management fee for each gig.

When contacted about the case, Jacobson said his former manager had deserted him in the week of his wedding in February.

Jacobson said he couldn't comment further as the matter was before the courts.

Ms. Fryers' statement of claim includes an excerpt from Jacobson's 2013 autobiography, The Long Road to Overnight Success, which praises her for her role in his success.

"The time has come to say that Deb is always there," he wrote.

"So many of the awards I've won and the praise that I get deserve to go to her because she always makes sure I'm in the right place at the right time for the right reason."

Ms. Fryers' lawyer, Darren Sanicki, said the case was not personal.

"Deb has always gone above and beyond to try and help Shane and wishes the best for his career," he said.
