"If you don't like Star Wars or the characters understand that there are decisions makers and harassing the actors/actresses will do nothing. You're not entitled to politeness when your approach is rude. Even if you paid for a ticket!" the 26-year-old tweeted.

John Boyega has had enough. After two of his fellow Star Wars castmates left social media because they could no longer bear the abuse constantly thrown their way by angry trolls , the Finn actor said on Tuesday it must stop.

And the movie's director, Rian Johnson, has also spoken out about the abuse aimed at Tran, which was apparently sparked by fans not accepting the California-born actress' Vietnamese-American ethnicity.

"Done with this disingenuous b------t," Johnson tweeted. "You know the difference between not liking a movie and hatefully harassing a woman so bad she has to get off social media. And you know which of those two we're talking about here."

Tran isn't the first of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi cast forced off social media. Daisy Ridley, who played Jedi-in-training Rey, has been MIA since 2016 after fans took her comment about gun control the wrong way.

"I posted a thing about gun regulations, because I was at an event in tribute to the Orlando shooting at Pulse," the 26-year-old told Glamour magazine in December. "People weren't nice about how I looked. And I was like, 'I'm out.' Simple as that. That is not what I signed up for."
