Host Sonia Kruger suffered an embarrassing near-fall during last week's live episode of The Voice.

And following the gaffe, the 52-year-old took it all in her stride poked fun at herself on Sunday evening's episode.

'Take a deep breath everybody as a I attempt to walk and talk over this way toward my friend Boy George,' Sonia said in jest while retracing last week's unstable footsteps.

Sonia was mid-sentence when she tripped over the bulky sound equipment.

Regaining her composure, she added: 'Do you know what? I knew that was going to happen! I just knew it. Anyway, as I was saying...'

Luckily the seasoned TV host has a sense of humour and has laughed off the incident.
