The beloved television personality has signed on to host the Australian version of Game Of Games, a unique entertainment show created and hosted by Ellen DeGeneres in the US.

The series, which debuted in January in America, pulls contestants from the audience and sees them compete in 'supersized versions' of the games on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

In a bid to win a cash prize, contestants answer questions under time pressure, manoeuvre massive obstacles and face gigantic plunges into the unknown.

Four weeks after his Family Feud Show was canceled by Ten , Grant Denyer was revealed as host of the network ' s upcoming Game of Games show.

Grant is ready for his next big hosting role, saying he's excited about the new show.

"I'm hungry and excited about this new project," Grant, 40, tells TV WEEK.

"Something new and bright comes along in moments when doors close," he says.

Meanwhile, Ellen can't wait for the show to hit our shores.

"I'm thrilled it's making its way to Australia," Ellen, 60, enthuses.

She says we can expect a few changes to the show down under.

"In the US [version], we drop contestants into vats of mashed potato," Ellen explains. "But in Australia, it's going to be 100 per cent Vegemite."

Network Ten chief content officer Beverley McGarvey has no doubt the show will be a hit.

"It's light, fun and engaging," Beverley says. "It's a blast of great family entertainment."

"Game Of Games is unique. It packed full of big fun, big physical entertainment, big laughs and big cash prizes."

Game Of Games will premiere on TEN and WIN Network later this year.

"Barnaby's obvious because he deserves a Logie himself," says the comedian.The much-loved comedian and radio host is well-known for taking Aussie stars to task during his warm-up performances. This year is set to be his fourth year in a row opening television's night of nights.
