"Nigella is wonderful,'' she said.

"She is so sweet. She is so full of advice. She's so down-to-earth. ''

Chloe and her husband have two children: Sienna, nine, and Laurence, five.

She said her fellow MasterChef contestants were "like family''; saying it was in stark contrast to the combative My Kitchen Rules.

"What you see is what you get, everyone is really supportive,'' she said.

"It's not really like a competition when you compare it to MKR. It's a really good environment.''

Chloe said after MasterChef she wanted to open a cooking school.

"Get families back in the kitchen, reconnect people with food,'' she said.

"Just back to basic cooking skills. I think that's really important and really life-saving. People go and buy a lot of convenience food and that's not necessarily their fault, they're time-poor.

"It's about education.''

And Chloe puts her philosophies into action with her own family.

"I want my kids to just love all types of food, so I'm always changing things up,'' she said.

"They love things like just simple stir-fries with oyster sauce and Thai basil and chicken and lots of veggies.

"One thing I am very particular about is lots of vegetables. I think 4 per cent of our population gets the recommended vegetables in their diet. We need to get everyone eating them.''

Chloe said all the judges on MasterChef were motivating her to reach her goals.

"Going into it, Gary was my favourite, his little grins. When he loves something, he loves it,'' she said.

"And the way George thinks about food is just amazing. And Matt is like your grandfather. He's just lovely and funny.''
