“I remember Diana telling me years ago, she is back up in those windows there [Buckingham Palace] and she wanted to go for a drive. She trots down to go for a drive. She trots down to her Mini Metro and there is a man sitting beside her. ‘I am fine,’ she said and he said, ‘Sorry ma’am, from now you will have you with me’,” she recalls.

For the time being, though, Seward thinks the wedding will be a beautiful celebration, despite the Markle family dramas.

“The great thing will be the bridesmaids and pages and happy all-age wedding and obviously lots of funny things will happen there,” she says.
