Now that Jessica Mauboy has sang her little heart out to land a spot in the Eurovision 2018 grand final, she's going to need all the help she can get.

It's the fourth year in a row that we've landed the highly-coveted GF spot, much to the disdain of actor Ryan Reynolds, who on Wednesday wondered why Australia was even in the contest given it's not a European nation. (We see his point, but we're not complaining.)

But he may soon be eating his words because Mauboy, 28, proved she's worthy of her place and may even take out the competition, thanks to genius pact made by KIIS 1065 radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'Jackie O' Henderson.

"Each country is not allowed to vote for a contestant from their own country, which makes it seem very fair," Sandilands explained of the Eurovision voting system today. "So this morning we're here to create an international treaty where our whole country will get together with another country, and together we will try and manipulate the votes."

Henderson then revealed they were teaming up with Ireland because Aussies love the Irish, a nation that also had a solid performance with their contestant, Ryan O'Shaughnessy.

"Because they have a great performance," said Sandilands. "We can't have a treaty with a country with a terrible performance."

"You guys broadcast to your audience to vote for us and we'll tell our whole audience to vote of Ireland," said Sandilands. "I feel like we can pull this off."

The Irish lads were totally on board because they seemingly had ulterior motives.

"If Australia win, you can't host it. So if you win, and we hope you do, you can just suggest us as [hosts] for next year," they said.

Not that Mauboy couldn't take the comp out on her own -- she has been rehearsing non-stop in the 10 days leading up to the competition, perfecting her performance to her catchy anthem 'We Got Love.'

"I have never done dancing like this so there were a few battles through that first rehearsal and I just kept saying to myself, 'It's OK, this is the first one,'" she told news.com.au. "I love the dancing. I was choked up after each of the next rehearsals because it's really challenging me, I'm kicking my own arse."
