Invasion of Privacy dropped on Friday (06Apr18), and thanks to the huge success of her first single Bodak Yellow, which has gone five times platinum since its debut in June (17), she has earned another place in the history books, according to her Atlantic Records representatives.

Chart Data analysts explained the certification news in a post on Twitter, writing, "Bodak Yellow has 5m (million) units certified by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). Because 10 track units = 1 album sale, the album has 500k+ units."

According to the RIAA, the Bronx native’ s debut studio LP is already certified gold due to a technicality involving her smash hit, “Bodak Yellow.” According to Forbes, Cardi ’ s previous No. 1 hit single went five times platinum last year. A project is certified gold with half a million sales or equivalent units, but the Bodak Yellow boost will not count towards Cardi's total album sales for the Billboard 200 next week (ends15Apr18).

"These units will not be included in official first week numbers," states the Chart Data expert.

Fellow rapper Drake achieved a similar feat with his 2016 album Views, as it featured his chart smash Hotline Bling.

The news emerges hours after Cardi celebrated the launch of her debut at her album release party in her native New York City on Thursday night, holding the bash at the Common Ground bar, which held a special place in her heart.

"This is the spot where I first met my man at," she told the crowd, pointing out fiance Offset.

She also revealed why Bodak Yellow was one of the first tracks she added to the Invasion of Privacy track list, quipping, "I put it on the album 'cause that's the song that made me rich, motherf**ker!"

Cardi later took to Instagram to share the very sweet surprise her husband-to-be had arranged.

"So, I just got surprised with my whole family..." she said in a video post. "I can't believe that Offset flew in my niece, my cousin, my grandma, my grandfather, my aunt from the Dominican Republic! You sneaky motherf*****! You know what? I love you so much."

Cardi collaborated with her man's group Migos for the song Drip on Invasion of Privacy, which also includes special features from Chance the Rapper, SZA, Kehlani, YG, Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
