In Australia, viewers will be most familiar with Burrell for his regular breakfast television appearances where he is wheeled out every time the royal family does something, or when a significant anniversary of Princess Diana's death rolls by.

Burrell was a footman to the Queen for a period before becoming Diana's butler until she died. He has written tell-all books about the princess and weighs in on anything to do with her or her legacy, including her children the princes William and Harry.

Last year he came under fire from Today host Karl Stefanovic for suggesting Prince William's wife Kate Middleton didn't have the x-factor, but has since corrected himself saying he was misquoted and what he actually meant was that she was different to Princess Diana.

She stayed with it for three years before making a career out of appearing on reality television by following it up with a stint on Ex on the Beach and then fronting her own reality series Judge Geordie where she settled feuds between former Geordie Shore cast members.

Geordie Shore is shown on Foxtel in Australia but has failed to capture the hearts and minds of Australians despite various visits down under from cast members.
