His comments come, reports the Sunday Mirror, after Tracy and their sons gave a TV interview in which they said they would be "honored" to attend Meghan and Harry's wedding.

"It's got to stop. The boys were babies when they met Meghan last and Tracy has never even met Meghan, ever," Tom Jr. told the newspaper.

He explained of Tracy, whom he divorced in 2000, "Tracy and me stopped living as man and wife three months into the marriage because the relationship was such a disaster. She never wanted the Markle name when we were married and now suddenly she acts like she's still part of the family."

"I don't believe Tracy or my sons have the right to call themselves Markles. If this embarrasses Meghan than I am sorry, but Tracy can't go on claiming to be a Markle," Tom Jr. said.

The irony of it all is that it seems unlikely that Tom Jr. himself -- who hasn't seen or talked to his half-sister in years -- will even score an invitation to the royal wedding, especially since he's repeatedly spoken to media outlets about his famous sister.

Their dad, Thomas Markle Sr., married Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, in 1979. The former Hollywood lighting director, 72, and his social worker and yoga instructor wife, 61, split when Meghan was 6.
