The RIAA gets to keep the domain, apparently to keep other enterprising converters from moving in on it … the digital version of salting the earth.

"I was working at a makeup counter, and my fellow workers were saying 'you need to start a channel," Starrr said.

The brothers from Adelaide duo, Racka Racka are no strangers to fame either.

One of their videos has been watched 49 million times - they now travel the world, as creatives

"Just got back from Mexico, going to Japan again soon. Egypt, Spain, Norway," said Daniel Philippou.

There's no shortage of home-grown talent - there are more than 65 Aussie Youtubers with more than 1 million followers.
