Warning: This article details colonic procedure

It's official: Dave "Hughesy" Hughes has officially taken his antics to the next level.

On Wednesday's broadcast of The Hughesy and Kate show, the radio host and comedian gave listeners an unexpected perspective of what happened during his first colonic appointment earlier that day. Co-host Kate Langbroek asked him to explain exactly what a colonic is used for.

"It’s where they put something up your bot bot. And flush you out," he quipped.

For the uninitiated, a colonic is a procedure where a thin tube is inserted into the a--s and filled with water to flush waste and debris from the colon. Colonic irrigation is believed to have therapeutic properties, but real talk: it's not necessarily an experience you'd share with your friends.

The MP3 format is officially dead

The MP3 format is officially dead If you grew up in the 90s and early 2000s, you probably still remember downloading MP3 files to build your music collection, and burning up to 10 times as many of these onto audio discs than you could with traditional CD tracks. I didn’t just remind you of MP3s to make you feel old first thing on a Monday morning; I also wanted you to know that the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits – the German agency that invented the audio format and licenses some patents for it – has officially terminated its licensing program.

And Dave 'Hughesy' Hughes left Hughesy and Kate listeners in fits of laughter during Wednesday' s show, while taking to the airwaves to share audio from his very uncomfortable colonic procedure. The bizarre TMI moment began with the father-of-three recalling his experience to his KIIS co-host

Bringing the laughs: Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes left Hughesy and Kate listeners in fits of laughter during Wednesday’ s show, while taking to the airwaves to share audio from his very uncomfortable colonic procedure. Arghhh – It just can’t get in there? Do you have a smaller hose?’

That is, unless you're Dave Hughesy. The radio host, 46, then proceeded to play back the audio from his session. What started as uncomfortable groans that surely warrant a NSFW label quickly escalated to a TMI revelation about Dave's bum.

"Oh ... I’m having trouble," he told Sue, his colonic hydrotherapist, as she inserted the tube into his body.

"I just can’t get it in there. Do you have a smaller hose?"

To that, the patient Sue explained, “Unfortunately your rectum is fairly tight."

Of course, Hughesy wouldn't miss this opportunity to crack a joke. "I’ve got one of the tightest rectums you’ve ever seen?" he asked.

Affirmatively, Sue responded, "In the top five per cent."

Incredibly proud of his anatomy, Hughesy then boasted to co-host Kate, "She’s been doing this since Lady Di was getting them in London in the early '80s, and I’ve got one of the tightest rectums she’s ever seen."

Yep, definitely TMI.
