The 30-year-old Married At First Sight season 4 star posted a plea to his father's former lover on Instagram, requesting information about a possible half-sibling.

"Reaching out to Lesley Gould," Nick shared in a Notes screenshot. "Dad told me there is a chance I have an older brother or sister. He doesn't even know. Something happened back in 1978 in WA (magic). If there is a chance they are out there I'm excited to reach out."

While Lesley hasn't publicly replied to the post yet, plenty of commenters shared their own stories of connecting with lost relatives.

"I found my half-sister mum adopted out only two years older than me," wrote julzg_. "I found the birth certificate when I was 15 and didn't mention it…and I also am in touch with my half siblings from my dad's first marriage....All living on other side of the globe."

During Married At First Sight's filming, Nick learned that his father may have motor neurone disease, and he tells TheFIX that he's still in limbo with the diagnosis.

"It might be motor neurone or it might be a spinal injury," Nick says. "I'm hoping it's a spinal injury."

After the show, Nick's Married At First Sight bride Sharon Marshdecided to move to Melbourne to be with Nick while he cares for his father.
