  Aussie climber found alive on NZ mountain A 29-year-old Australian man trapped on a New Zealand mountain for nearly a week has been found alive by search teams. "It's extraordinary," rescuers say.There were grave fears for the 29-year-old who failed to return on Monday from a solo climb of Mount Aspiring in the South Island.

Nimbin Rocks, a series of jagged outcrops, solidified plugs left after the erosion of volcanic dykes and vents and Blue Knob that are both landmarks for the village. Mount Warning (known to the Bundjalung people as Wollumbin meaning 'cloud catcher') is about 50km away.

+ Blue Knob offers 100 skiable acres, with a vertical of 1,072 feet. You will find 34 runs serviced by five lifts including two doubles, two triples and one surface lift. Blue Knob has the highest skiable mountain in Pennsylvania.

A body found at Blue Knob Mountain in northern NSW is believed to be that of 38-year-old Nimbin man Damien Roadley.

Mr Roadley was reported missing by family members after he went camping overnight on August 1 and did not return.

Following a large-scale search, the body was found this morning at the south-west point of Blue Knob Mountain, according to police. It is yet to be formally identified.

The search involved officers from Richmond Police District, along with the State Emergency Service, the Dog Unit, Police Rescue Unit, Rural Fire Service, Westpac Helicopter, Volunteer Rescue Association and the Queensland Police Dog Squad.

A report is being prepared by officers for the coroner.
