Earlier this year A Current Affair caught up with Ciara and her mother Ashling, as they started to raise the more than 100 thousand dollars needed, to travel to the US for revolutionary surgery to help little Ciara.

"Her level of pain will decrease, if not be non-existent, she will be able to walk in all environments independently." Mum Ashling told A Current Affair.

A Current Affair teamed up with Flight Centre to be able to surprise the family with some help getting to St Louis.

"We heard about your story and we just wanted to help out." Rhiannon Doran from flight centre told Ashling.

The company has now arranged the internal flights for the family to get from Los Angeles to St Louis.

"Well we're they're now, it is reality, it is going to happen, it's not a case of 'we land into America, how do we get to St Louis' ". Ashling rejoiced.

The family will head to the US, next month.
