  Armed bandits robbing pubs across Brisbane Detectives from across Brisbane are working to identify men involved in a spate of armed robberies of suburban pubs during the past three months.Since late November, cash has been taken from at least seven suburban hotels by two or three armed men who have threatened staff and patrons before fleeing in waiting cars.

Police were called to a robbery involved a man with a handgun. A 29-year-old woman told police that a man broke into the home , where she and her 37-year-old boyfriend were sleeping .

Three offenders armed with an axe have broken into a Perth home where two victims were asleep at home with a child early in the morning.

They entered the home on Priestly Street, Embleton at about 4am on Saturday, 10 February.

The offenders demanded the victim’s car keys and fled the scene with the stolen vehicle, which was a grey Mitsubishi Outlander registration 1DLW625.

The first male offender is described as in his 20’s, approximately 175cm tall, dark skinned and of heavy build. He was wearing a light grey hooded top with dark pants and wore a black “bum bag” over his shoulder.

The second male offender is described as dark skinned, no further details have been provided.

The female offender is described as 20 to 30-years-old and approximately 165cm tall, wearing a light grey hooded top.

Detectives have released a composite image of a male that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

US launches new air attacks against Taliban .
US bombers have struck multiple Taliban targets in a new air offensive over the past four days in far northeastern Afghanistan near the China and Tajikistan borders, the Southern Command said Tuesday. The strikes hit Taliban training facilities in Badakhshan province, "preventing the planning and rehearsal of terrorist acts," the Southern Command said in a statement. The bombing also destroyed vehicles that it said the Taliban took from the Afghan National Army and were turning into vehicle-born explosive devices.The strikes were carried out in part by a US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress, which dropped 24 guided munitions.
