Two family dogs have died during a house fire in Kenmore.

However, the Sinclair family’s dogs died in the fire.

“I just cannot fathom what I’m going to do without them,” Mr Sinclair’s daughter, Melanie, said.

The family told 9NEWS they only learned this afternoon that the Currong Street home is uninsured.

They said it’s a “huge shock”, as they did not know their policy had expired in 2015.

The Sinclairs are now staying with neighbours and the community is rallying around them, with a crowd funding page set up.

Investigations into the cause of the blaze are ongoing.
