  Bricklayers guilty of violent pub brawl walk free Three men guilty of a violent brawl outside a Victorian pub have walked free without jail time. Scott Howard, his brother Marc, and their friend Takota Williams-Roszczyk were accused of being involved in the brawl on May 14th on Main Street, Mornington.Mobile phone vision of the 1.30am brawl shows three co-accused engage with a group of three other men outside a Subway food outlet.The prosecutor told the court Scott Howard interrupted that group and stood in between them, and “without provocation Scott attacked.”Moments later, his brother Marc also tried to punch one of the men, only to be knocked out himself.

A man has been beaten and left for dead during a violent home invasion in Melbourne's south east overnight.

A gang of three men allegedly broke into a home on Lawson Street in Hampton just before 11pm, kicking down the front door.

It’s understood the 65-year-old homeowner confronted the men when a fight broke out.

The gang bashed the man, leaving hi m with serious head injuries, and left him for dead, fleeing the home on foot.

It’s understood the men had planned to steal a luxury car from the home but were unsuccessful. It’s unclear if anything else was stolen from the home.

The homeowner was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The three men, all described as tall and all wearing hooded jumpers, were last spotted running north along Smith Street.

Police have established a crime scene at the home and are hunting for the men.
