Divers have also scoured the floor of the pond, recovering a number of items as detectives tried to piece together what happened to Helen Dansie on Easter Sunday.

Ms Dansie's husband was with her at the time but efforts to revive her were unsuccessful and she died at the scene in Veale Gardens.

A post-mortem revealed she died from freshwater drowning, but police say they have determined that further investigations are required.

That included doorknocking the area around the gardens and conducting a number of interviews.

Several people have also provided information but any witnesses to the incident were urged to come forward.

Ms Dansie's death has also sparked a review of all the ponds in the city's parklands by the Adelaide City Council.

Councillor Anne Moran said the council must deal with any potential death traps and the 1.5-metre depth of the Veale Gardens pond would be considered.

"The ponds are just to look at as water features, they don't need to be five feet deep," she said.

"So that is something we can do; we make them two feet deep and that basically makes it safe for everybody."
