Australian model Robyn Lawley has been campaigning for years for better representation of all female forms in fashion.

And today the Sports Illustrated regular, originally from Girraween in west Sydney, is rejoicing thanks to Bras n Things' latest campaign honouring body confidence that she stars in alongside Samantha Harris, Bianca Cheah and Elle Ferguson.

"It was awesome just to see how far Australia has come by doing a body diversity campaign, it is what I wanted for years," Lawley told Fairfax Media this week.

"People want to see themselves in advertisements. They want to see normal bodies and different types of bodies, ages and ethnicities.  It has just been one body type for so many years.

"It sounds silly now, but it has taken so long long to accomplish this."

Although Lawley feels like Australia has come a long way, she said there is still some way to go, in particular when it comes to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia which begins on Sunday.

"Put your money where you mouth is and if you think your clothes look good on everybody that is what you should be proud of and what you should put on display," she said.
